About us

We are a hyperbaric center at the Adeli Medical Center in Piešťany.

Due to the latest technology, anesthesiology and intensive care physicians, qualified nurses and certified hyperbaric chamber operators, we in Oxymed Center, take good care of your health and quality of life at a professional level.

We are equipped with a modern 12-seater chamber HAUX STARMED 2200 / 5,5 / XL, suitable for lying patients. Part of the chamber is a 2-sets access chamber, which serves as the access point for medical personnel during exposure, if needed.

Under pressure of 2.2 ATA, patients breathe clean oxygen using a face mask or a certified helmet. Chamber pressure and overall program can be set individually based on client’s requirements or diagnosis. A computer-controlled system is sustains operatibility even in case of power outage.

Health and safety of our clients are most important for us. The entire process (treatment) is secured and monitored by a camera system and a specially trained medical team.

In addition to a wide range of diseases in adults, it also focuses on treatment of children of different ages above the age of 3. As the only hyperbaric center in Slovakia is able to combine hyperbaric oxygen therapy with intensive neurorehabilitation.

Additionally, we offer rehabilitation program, logopedy, wellness and accommodation. More information about the ADELI center and about the offered neuro-rehabilitation program will be available HERE.

HAUX-STARMED 2200/5,5/XL

The HBO facility is made up of a 12-digit pressure chamber of the HAUX-STARMED 2200 / 5.5 / XL type of the German manufacturer HAUX-Life Support, GmbH with additional 2 places in the pre-chamber. It is possible to treat a patient on the bed in the chamber.

The maximum operating pressure of the chamber is 5 bar (6.5 ATA). Standard features include built-in fully automatic fire extinguishers, patient audio / video monitoring, air conditioning, computer / manual exposure control,% saturation O2%, chamber atmosphere O2% aspiration. A storage chamber tunnel is part of the chamber. The chamber is filled with air (pressurized) (not 100% oxygen as in 1-chamber chambers). 100% of medical oxygen is inhaled by patients through closed masks.
